A brilliantly crafted tour of the evolution of filmmaking process, Side by Side, in simple words, is a side by side comparison of shooting on film & shooting digitally. Featuring Keanu Reeves as the questioner discussing the evolution & impact of filmmaking since its inception with Hollywood master directors like Martin Scorsese, James Cameron, David Fincher, Christopher Nolan & many other cinematographers, film editors, visual effects supervisors & their opinions about both mediums, this documentary also exhibits the benefits & limitations of both filmmaking mediums as well as the dawn & rise of digital filmmaking that today threatens the existence of 120 years of filmmaking method.

Very gripping, highly entertaining & pretty informative, Side by Side is a must for every cinema fan.
