Review of Sid and Nancy (1986) by Andres G — 11 Aug 2008
This movie starts off very down and dirty and wit the introduction of Nancy, it gets only dirtier. The film is basically the punk rock version of a love story. Their love is strong in the beginning, but in the times of sex, drugs, and rock and roll, their relationship weithers away.
I enjoyed this film alot and I especially enjoyed Gary Oldman's performance as ex-Sex Pistols member Sid Vicious. He inhabits the role and becomes Sid. Overall the film is a bit of a downer, but it provides some insight as to the story behind one of punk rock's most famous and estranged romances.
A solid rental!!
