Review of Sid and Nancy (1986) by Jessie V — 08 Jun 2009
One hell of a romance.
In a very short period, nihilistically, The Sex Pistols provided the rest of us with a lot of room to think and act. What they did still resonates loud and clear. Whether they knew what they were doing or not, they certainly did it.
The film's ending was fitting. Sid died of a heroin overdose at 21, while out on bail, from drugs delivered to him by his mother. I'd say it was assisted suicide. Heavy.
