Review of Sid and Nancy (1986) by Peter F — 04 Aug 2011
Perhaps the reason that this bio-pic is so well remembered is that it shows an admirable amount of restraint in recounting the tragic love story of punk legend Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
While it is necessarily grim, it actually has a frquently upbeat and optimistic tone at times too. Gary Oldman and Chloe Webb have great chemistry as the title couple, and further cement this film as an above average biopic.
