Ok, so it's corny, but as a teenager trapped in underdeveloped suburban Phoenix, I really liked this. It was the one thing at the local video store that didn't involve Tom Cruse or John Hughes. It tided you over while you waited for that one lone arthouse theater in Tempe to do a midnight screening of "Liquid Sky" or the actual "Great Rock N Roll Swindle". You heard vague rumors that Johnny disliked the movie and contested the depiction of events, but fuck it, this was Phoenix. It was this or sit through "Faces of Death" again with your stoner buddies.

Then you finally get to escape to NYC and you learn that not only Johnny, but Rockets and Stinker and some other people who were actually involved in that scene also contest what is claimed to have happened, and that although you own a DVD of "Swindle", you feel no compulsion to own this, or even rent it for old times' sake.

There are a few funny bits though: "Mom won't send money. She says we'd spend it all on drugs" "Well we would..." and the song about wanting an artistic job "You'll like it, it has a PUNKY feel!".
