As someone who is fortunate enough to live in a country where we have universal health care I find it amazing that so many americans are opposed to a so called 'socialised' health system. seeing the horrors that so many people go through just to get the most simple of care is something I cannot begin to understand.
the national health service in the uk is far from perfect but we take it for granted here that if we become sick or injured we will be looked after. I wouldn't trade places with the people in America for all the tea in china and the fact that it is such a hot topic only goes to highlight how flawed and in need of reform it is.
