Review of Sicko (2007) by Mic R — 13 Mar 2011
An interesting insight into a broken health care system where profits appear to be more important than human life. The film is quite one sided at times but this doesn't detract from the fact that Moore has highlighted a broken system where people profit from the denial of healthcare to citizens.
Moore seems to genuinely care about the people he meets and the issues he highlights. It does seem remarkable that in the twenty first century that the biggest, most powerful democracy in the civilised world does not have universal healthcare for all.
I'd like to write a more detailed review for this film in the future but in the meantime I'd recommend this film as a must watch.
