Review of Sick Nurses (2007) by George M — 18 Aug 2009
Sick Nurses is a Thai horror flick about six hot candy-stripers who are haunted by the vengeful spirit of a workmate they killed. The movie, beyond being a throwback to the old slasher genre, functions as a tongue-in-cheek cautionary tale.
Each nurse is offed by the personality flaw she so clearly represents - gluttony, pride, gossip - sort of like Se7en without the good acting or the cool ambience. The gore is hilariously low-budget, and the actresses are gorgeous and talentless.
..well, at least I think they're talentless...it's sometimes hard to tell in a foreign film. It isn't a bad movie, per se, just derivitive and underwhelming.
