Review of Sicario (2015) by Joseph S — 26 Jan 2017

I've been wanting to see this one for a while and thanks to Sling and Epix having a free trial, I finally watched it last night. I will say the film is beautifully shot, and I thought some of the sequences were well done and neat to watch (this is the first film I've seen that uses a lot of infrared).

I had some issues with the film. First, I don't know if it was just my tv but I could barely hear the actors at times. The audio was all over the place. Second, the story was hard to follow. Maybe it was because I started it late and was exhausted.

I did like Josh Brolin's acting and Emily Blunt looks like my cousin Laurie. Benicio Del Toro did a good job but he mumbled a lot. It was well shot and well acted but I didn't connect with it.

I guess they're currently shooting a sequel.
