Review of Shutter Island (2010) by Damjan R — 25 May 2014
Bearing only some resemblance to Scorsese's previous and more well known work, Shutter Island is interesting thanks to the mind games it plays with its audience, but the conclusion fails to satisfy in a more deep and meaningful way.
The acting is good, but the real star of the film is Director of Photography Robert Richardson who's play with light and dark is pretty awesome here. Can't say I really recommend it, but then again you could do much worse.
