Review of Shutter Island (2010) by Paul K — 10 Jul 2013
This is a great psychological thriller. Leo and his partner are US marshals who arrive on Shutter Island to find a missing mental health patient. They find the staff unwilling to help and with lots of things to hide.
Leo's character suffers migraines and flashbacks to his painful past of fighting in WWII, in the concentration camps and the loss of his wife in a fire. His own state of mind is in tormoil. It has scary characters and is retentless in activity.
You feel your mind racing. It is like a dark hitchcock movie. If you like Sixth Sense, you will like this movie. Great cast. As always Leo really gets into his characters. Brilliant performance.
