Marty Scorsese steps a bit out of his comfort zone with Shutter Island, a psychological thriller about a man investigating an escape in an asylum. Shutter Island shakes you to the bone, with a haunting story and beautiful direction.
At times it can falter but the mystery sucks you back into it before you have time to notice. Leonardo DiCaprio teams up with Scorsese for the fourth time and gives a equally haunting performance.
