Shutter Island is masterfully directed by Martin Scorsese and lead by Leonardo DiCaprio in his best performance to date. The script is flawless and the cinematography is beautiful. Each frame is like a delicate yet gritty water colour or oil painting.
The characters are extremely well rounded and compliment each other in every exchange. This movie is one of my all time favorites and like any great piece of art deserves to be contemplated long after you've left the gallery.
A true masterpiece in my opinion. Give Leo a bloody Oscar!
