I am not yet sure why it took m so long to find some time to wacth "Shutter Island". I am a fan of Scorsese's earlier works and gangster dramas. Maybe, I was afraid of disappointment. My fears were unreasonable.
This is one of the most suspenseful thrillers I have seen in a while with smart twists and turns and a mesmerizing leas performance by DiCaprio. If I would have guessed the director, I would have said it's a collaboration between Christopher Nolan and David Fincher.
