Review of Shutter Island (2010) by Luis Henrique M — 09 Mar 2013
This movie was catchy, intriguing, frenetic, exciting... but Scorsese (or the Hollywood producers, who knows) threw EVERYTHING at the toiled in the ending, calling us, the public, complete morons by explaining step-by-step what really happened in the story.
The ending should've been left open so that the viewers can end up with their own conclusions, like in the Director's Cut version of Blade Runner. We should've been blessed with the benefit of doubt, if Teddy is what he claims he is or not.
