A US Marshal and his partner are sent to investigate the disappearance of a patient from the Shutter Island mental hospital. However, his stay begins to unravel personal issues and twists that begin to make him question his own sanity.
A gripping and suspenseful thriller signed by Martin Scorsese. Shutter Island may not be his most representational work, yet it is full of mystery and quite entertaining. Al well as that, Scorsese favourite Leonardo DiCaprio contributes to the quality of the film with a solid interpretation in the leading role.
