Review of Shutter Island (2010) by Alasdair B — 16 Mar 2014
Shutter Island is a heart pounding psychological thriller about a "U.S Marshal'' and his "partner'' as they inspect the goings on at the formidable island. For much of the film I was confused, but at the end everything tied together and made sense.
It is disturbing and violent. Well acted on everyones part. It is decently shot and is somewhat well written. The problem with the film is that for most of it, it feels very scattered. You don't know whats going on for a while and its frustrating.
The plot twists are not what I expected, Shutter Island is a must see! 4.3 stars!
