Review of Shutter Island (2010) by Yash B — 19 Dec 2014
The second I finished watching this movie, I wanted to watch it again and observe every detail I missed. The film goes in a direction I definitely did not see coming. The pacing is slow but I was consistently intrigued and engaged.
The setting is moody and haunting and the mystery is complex and impossible to figure out. It's not a typical Scorsese and certainly not his best work but its a nice change of pace and a very good movie to have on his already impressive roster.
