I usually want to see the original film before I see its, most likely, awful American remake. Sometimes I will moan about how the American remakes take all the great and groundbreaking ideas that have come out of Japanese horror movies through the 1990s, but in this case I won't because this movie, from 2004, is actually just a rip off in itself.

By that time, Ringu and Ju On had already been remade and the style was already getting tiresome. This movie just relies on the same style of those two movies and didn't bring anything new at all.

Of course, this will make the American remake of this film that much worse, but in the end, it wasn't a very good movie anyway.
