Review of Shutter (2004) by Carrie C — 10 Aug 2010
Not a whole lot to say about Shutter: it is a ripoff of Ringu, Ju-On, Pulse, etc. It's an Asian horror film that features a piece of technology that becomes haunted or reveals the supernatural world to the characters in the film.
But what somewhat saves Shutter is that it is a well-directed piece of Thai cinema with excellent performances and an ending that makes the whole film seem worthwhile. If you have seen any of the above-mentioned films, then little will surprise you in Shutter, but it is still a well-crafted and enjoyable piece of horror cinema.
