Review of Shutter (2004) by Alice C — 01 Jun 2008

A very scary film in my opinion equal to the level of cerebral fear inherent in a film like.

"event horizon" for example.

Much moreso than it's predecessors such as "the ring" or "the grudge" were.

I recommend to watch this by yourself and at night with the volume turned up very high.

The ending is excellent, and the storyline is progressive and solid while equally terrifying- though the film was clearly not intended for western audiences, and is foreign.

There is apparently some confusion surrounding the film as there was "the remake" of this 2004 title here in the united states recently.

(the subject of this review was to critique the original film, not whatever teen movie garbage it was reproduced as).
