Review of Shut Up and Play the Hits (2012) by Luis R — 03 Feb 2013
The concert footage is fantastic. but the documentary is too sappy in an unsubtle way. I would even say, emotionally manipulative. this feels a bit of a stretch because it is not like James Murphy actually retired.
he went on to do what he was doing very well before LCD: producing for and managing DFA records, djing, etc.
