Review of Shrooms (2007) by Clare A — 24 May 2008
An Irish horror film with broken toothed forrest yokels lurking as Yank college kids fly thousands of miles to camp (??) in the countryside.
The director does a good job at creating a mood with the visuals and the idea of drugs meeting genuine horror is a interesting one.
However, too many of the ideas in this film fritter easily away. Also, what the hell kind of accent does the Jake character have? It isn't an Irish one that I am familiar with.
