Review of Shrooms (2007) by Benjamin J — 16 Aug 2011
This whole film is sold on a single premise: That the token sensible heroine (pretty, blonde, educated, never taken drugs) decides to take an incredibly powerful magic mushroom without any goading from her peers, and after being told that it's highly potent and incredibly poisonous.
If a film tries to take itself seriously and manages to hang itself entirely on something so ridiculous, then it's failing from the start.
