It lacks the satire and jokes and pop culture references of the previous movies, it lacks in soundtrack and in plot. "Shrek Forever After" had its moments but it suffers big time. Its main villain is the weakest character in the entire franchise.
Its charm has broken with this one, nothing is funny any more. "Shrek Forever After" is an unnecessary edition to the franchise and a last attempt to get the fans excited for their beloved character's return.
The problem though is Shrek, does not feel like Shrek anymore.
