ONE SENTENCE STARTER: This better be the last Shrek film, because this one is so damn good.

I am so damn shocked about how good this movie was. Now, as most of you may know, I didn't like Shrek the Third at all. In fact, it was because of the third installment that I was doubting that this film would be bad. It also didn't help that the advertising was absolutely terrible. But thankfully, Dreamworks ended their much loved franchise on an incredibly high note. This is the best Shrek film out of the four, and that was incredibly hard for me to say. Shrek 2 was such a fantastic movie, but Shrek Forever After was just so heartfelt, funny, and amazing, that I can't help but say that this is a perfect movie. Finally, we got another perfect film while the only other one that earned that title this year was Kick-Ass. This film has some incredibly funny moments. Antonio Bandaras and Eddie Murphay make this film work as a comedy as Donkey and Puss in Boots. Also, Rumpelstiltskin is the best villain in a Shrek film since Lord Farquad in the first film. I can't stress enough how much I want you guys to see this movie. It is not as bad as you think. In fact, it'a not bad at all. This film is brilliant and is the best Dreamworks film since Madagascar 2. I'm glad that the studio is putting this franchise to rest, and the did so perfectly. I doubt that any fans of Shrek 1 and 2 are gonna hate this movie. In fact, I think that most Shrek fans will love this movie as I did. I hope that if they end the Madagascar franchise on it's third film that it ends as perfectly as this movie. This is by far one of the best movies of 2010, and I hope that this is a sign that Dreamworks is becoming Pixar material. If this was made by Pixar, it would probably be the same exact film. It is that good. Overall, I give Shrek Forever After a 5 out of 5 (*****).
