Having skipped 3 its hard to say how this compares to that, but as for 1 and 2 this doesnt even come close. By this point its almost painful as the creators are trying to keep this alive. Their was moments of humor but not enough to really save it.
Although I found it interesting that the pied piper looks an awful lot like Bill Hader.
