Review of Shrek Forever After (2010) by Antony G — 15 Apr 2012
I've never been a fan of the Shrek franchise as they've been largely disappointing but this one is actually quite good. Although not very funny with few laugh out loud moments it's still entertaining & throughly watchable with a few hidden morals in the story, you don't get what you always wish for & the grass isn't always greener on the other side which only the adults watching may get.
Shrek is fed up of the monotonous life of being a father & husband & yearns for the old days when he had no responsibility & was feared by all. His wish is granted by the evil scheming Rumpul Stiltskin, who's plans of world domination were once ruined by Shrek, in return for one day of his life for a day of being once again a single, feared Ogre! Unfortunately Stiltskin takes the day Shrek was born thus making his existence redundant & unless he gets Fiona to fall in love with him again by sun rise he'll cease to exist altogether.
