Finally got around to seeing this one. Shrek is an ogre who is tasked with saving the princess. It has a number of references that don't hold up all that well all these years later, so some of the moments come off really bad only because they are extremely dated now.
But that's the course for films like this. Otherwise, a decent movie with some good moments.
