I love it when Shrek says to Fiona, "but you are beautiful" near the end.
Unlike all the Disney movies I've grown up with (which this movie parodies) the hero and heroine are allowed to be ugly and they end up embracing the fact that they are ogres. Even in Beauty and the Beast, the Beast becomes a handsome prince in the end, so did we really learn anything?
I've watched this movie so many times. Gotta love the innocent original of any movie franchise.
