Shrek 2 it's another great example for a good sequel. It really feels like a love and comedy story. The story is really funny, the animation is better, the characters are still great and the new ones are even better like the villains and the strongest and best part of this sequel is the comedy.
Like the first one, I recommend this if you watched the first movie.
