Review of Shrek 2 (2004) by Olivia W — 17 Jul 2015
Just as good, if not better, than the first one. Everything that worked the first time around is back for the sequel. That includes the relationship of Shrek and Fiona as well as the hilarity of Donkey.
What makes the second film work though is how easily new characters are incorporated in the film and their excellent chemistry with the three main characters. Shrek 2, much like the first movie, focuses on Shrek and Fiona.
The plot could seem rehashed to some, but there's enough adventure and humour to have a good time.
