Review of Shrek 2 (2004) by Axel L — 23 Dec 2014
There is barely anything to choose between this entry and Shrek's first outing. Donkey is in better form last time round, but he his joined by the entertaining Puss in Boots in this film. John Cleese and Jennifer Saunders produce fantastic voice performances, with the latter portraying a fresher, funnier villain than King Farquaad.
The humour revolves more around pop culture references here, which makes it seem slightly less original than the first. However, a believe that older audiences are more likely to prefer this sequel.
