Another De Niro cop flick that deals with the relationship between media and crime. Showtime is less cynical than the previous year's 15 Minutes, it's funnier and more kid friendly, but it's hardly compelling.
There are some good action scenes and some laughs, but it's a trite, formulaic cash-grab.
