Review of Showtime (2002) by Robert I — 16 Dec 2012
The stupid, however interesting premise of Showtime becomes destroyed by the lack of humour, wrongful balance of any themes, any substantial story direction or originality and not the slightest piece of realism.
Worst of all it fails to provide any substantial attempt at extending it's climax or making it the slightest bit stimulating, which is really dissappointing because it makes you wonder if the filmmakers were actually trying to do anything but make money with this film. Funny that even that failed.
I was kind of hoping that Eddie Murphy being a cop again would be funny. I thought wrong. Robert De Niro wasn't that much better.
At least the cinematography and film editing was decent though.
