Review of Showgirls (1995) by Randy M — 24 Jul 2011
Some great bodies on display, none greater than ultra-fit minx Gina Gershon, but holy hell, 2 hours and 11 minutes is about 2 hours longer than you'll want to sit through this trash. On repeat viewing (did I just say that?) the utterly pathetic script becomes fun to ridicule, and you my ask yourself are some of the real actors (like Robert Davi, Kyle MacLachlan, and Dharma's dad Alan Rachins) doing that too as they say their lines?? An extra half-star above the gutter for Gershon and Rena Riffel's tightly toned figures, Elizabeth Berkley's pole dance, and her psychotic performance which has to be seen to be believed.
