Review of Showgirls (1995) by Rob C — 23 Feb 2010
Elizabeth Berkley from Saved By The Bell fame. Who can forget her lapdance in the private room of her business for Kyle MacLachlan or her idiotic way of saying Versace. This film exposed all kinds of stereotypes in a not too subtle fashion.
I always wondered why this film made it to theaters and not straight to video, but I guess Paul Verhoeven was just asking to be shot down by critics. All I know is that he went on a head-first collision with Showgirls without a helmet.
