Review of Shortbus (2006) by Rex I — 21 Apr 2008
Usually 'controversial' movies disappoint. It would have been easy for Shortbus to become overwhelmed by 'hey look a penis!' moments but somehow the message comes through despite the full-on nature of the visuals.
Everyone will take something different from this story as I suppose everyone's kink is different. For me the message was "we're all different but we all like sex". Nothing too deep in the message but still refreshing to not be insulted when it comes to a movie about sex.
