I guess I didnt get "it" the first time, but after watching the Indie Sex documentary, I decided to give John Cameron Mitchell's SHORTBUS another try. I guess even though I try to be "open minded" I guess my brain was not ready for a movie that had real sex and real narrative at the same time, but I guess ive evolved a bit.
The story is more about sex and the (dis)connections we have with other people and how it can bring us together, and tear us apart.
A very effective film.
