SHORT TERM 12 is the kind of motion picture that makes people fall in love with American Independent Cinema. A gritty, real, genuine film that never shies away from the hardships of life. It could be a total downer but then SHORT TERM 12 is full of such human decency that it is the ultimate uplifting work.
A film to be proud of, grounded by awesome performances from everyone involved but especially Brie Larson who proves what a treasure she is. SHORT TERM 13 is a perfect gem.
