A profoundly beautiful, immensely lovable and touching film with devastating central topics, a tremendous direction and impeccable performances.

Short Term 12 is that indie jewel that comes in certain time and changes something in cinema, because even if its characters had the worst horrors in their life, the film depicts the silver lining of life in the worst conditions, its poetry comes with every shot and some scenes are heartbreaking. An inspiring, enjoyable memorable and charismatic masterpiece from that extraordinary opening scene until the credits roll.
