Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Jesse T — 29 Jul 2005
This is what I call a PERFECT movie. The cast is amazing, the story is amazing and the director (the great Robert Altman) is at his best here. Robert Altman received an Oscar nomination for Best Director for this movie. Short Cuts reminds me of Magnolia, another of my favourite movies. The way the characters intertwine and meet each other is incredible. Andie MacDowell, Bruce Davison, Julianne Moore, Matthew Modine, Anne Archer, Fred Ward, Lily Tomlin, Tom Waits, Annie Ross, Lori Singer, Chris Penn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Lili Taylor, Robert Downey Jr., Frances McDormand, Tim Robbins, Madeleine Stowe, Peter Gallagher, Jack Lemmon, Lyle Lovett, Buck Henry and Huey Lewis star in this phenomenal movie.
