Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Steve S — 23 Oct 2007
Another amazing film venture from altman with the wonderful guide of ray carvers stories. a precursor to many more recent films in style and its interwoven storytelling. I just cant say enough about altmans camera workin any of his films including this one.
the slow and tender but unforgiving movements and zoom. its depressing, sure. but its damn good. the acting is good as well. I dont know that its the most important element of the film which I would argue is the story and editting.
