Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Micah G — 30 Jul 2007
Seriously underrated film, this one, and a huge influence on Paul Thomas Anderson. Presents a series of events in California linked by several individuals with 'seven degrees of separation'. One of the best ensemble casts of modern cinema, Short Cuts is a film about detachment from modern society and the hazy longing for something better.
Essential 4am viewing and a great part for Tom Waits too.
