Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Katie S — 02 Nov 2007
So this was incredible. I think I actually liked it better than Nashville although I still think Nashville is a better film. But I would still put this movie in the top 40 greatest ever made. Altman allows the camera to capture these minute moments in the lives of these characters and the wat they are depicted really felt real.
For the first time since I can remember I felt like these were real lives even though I knew the actors I still felt like these were real people. It was very odd and refreshing. There are so many people in this movie it's absurd.
One of the shortest feeling long movies ever. And it's a masterpiece.
