Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Davey M — 18 Jun 2008
This movie is astonishingly astonishingly amazingly amazing. It's one of the more painful movie-watching experiences I've had in awhile, but certainly one of the most rewarding. Altman's film is one of the most deeply compassionate ever made--a movie about people who mostly do awful things but are loved nevertheless.
Watching "Short Cuts" is like being God in the book of Abraham, and weeping for the world, because we love it and because it is sad.
