Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Enrico C — 11 Aug 2008
Altman paints a fresque of the US of the nineties, with all the topics coming from the 80s (bored couples, sex problems, perversion...) and the result is worth seeing. But some moments are way too didascalic, and the whole plot has a taste of some moralistic view.
The film is based on nine short stories and a poem by Raymond Carver.
