Review of Short Cuts (1993) by Luisfelipe Z — 16 Aug 2008
I feel like I'm going to sound like a broken record when I review Altman's films.
Once again, I am impressed to the fucking max that he can juggle around 25 characters and make them all seem so interesting and well-rounded. The movie that comes to mind when I saw this was "Magnolia". I think I liked this a lot better though. Magnolia was a little over the top but Short Cuts just seems to hit everything just right. I like how things were left unanswered just how ~life~ is. Robert Altman really gets that and that's what makes his films so special.
