It's crazy how many times these characters come in contact with each other - and how smoothly it is accomplished, unlike, say Crash. It was longer than it should have been but I give Altman a lot of leeway with anything he wants to do because he is brilliant.
.. of particular note here is Tim Robbins, who I usually loathe, but his character is such a dick but he becomes increasingly hilarious as the movie progresses.
