Review of Shore Leave (1925) by Joel A — 25 Sep 2012
A beautiful, quaint romance/drama set on an idilc seaside village. This was the lead actor's favorite film & you can see why it has a charm to it....it's so simple but the performances drag you in.
A lot of credit often goes to Richard but Dorothy the heroine in this picture is an incredible actress and gives such a great supporting performance that boost's Richard's.
Although a little slow parts, the portrayal of their complicated love is fascinating to watch on screen & this is a seldom mentioned film but such a breath of fresh air for silent cinema...I was largely impressed.
